This is a very popular area for hiking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. Generally considered a challenging route, it takes an average of 7 h 10 min to complete. If nothing else, think about what might be in the mailbox itself besides the summit register. Mailbox Peak Trail has an elevation gain of 4000 feet, with over 900 of that gain in just a half-mile. Enjoy this 10.3-mile out-and-back trail near North Bend, Washington.
